Biography
Vander Ramos Alves is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Brasilia. He participated in the CAPES/Humboldt Program at the University of Passau (Germany), with CAPES as the funding institution. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (Germany) and Lancaster University (England), participating in European projects in the areas of Software Product Lines, Aspect- and Model-Oriented Software Development, Ambient Assited Living, and Smart Homes. He has also worked at the IBM Silicon Valley laboratory in San Jose, California (USA), on the implementation of the Information Integration product line, and is co-author of a US licensed patent. He is interested in research, development and teaching in Software Engineering (sub-areas Software Product Line, Model-Driven Software Development) and Command and Control (C2). Vander holds a PhD in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from the Federal University of Pernambuco.
